Defying Your Limits!

Weekly Challenge 7 | 12 June 2022

Endurance is an action that we often take for granted as something done by pro athletes, entrepreneurs, masters of a trade, people who made it in life. Yet, we almost never believe it is applicable in our own lives. We are destined to struggle and carry the weight of our problems, sins, and past mistakes.

We carry our past like Sisyphus - the guy rolling a boulder for all eternity, Google his story if you're ever down... - but we don't have to!

We're stuck in the limits we set for ourselves. If you think "I'll never be good enough/better than this..." then you're stuck in the limits you set for yourself. The Lord knows (and subconsciously, you do too!) that you are capable of much more, much bigger things than you allow yourself.

Yes, life is hard. Yes, growing up is not easy, but trust the Lord, trust yourself and LIVE THIS WONDERFUL LIFE! It's easy to fall into bad habits, we all have them, but the life worth living is one of honesty - to yourself and those around you - and the one where limits are not a contant, but something to be dared!

It's time to make a commitment to yourself!

I, (Insert Name Here) promise myself that I will strive to be the best version of myself, EVERYDAY. The person I aspire to, not the person I am/was. The Lord has a path for me and I know He gives me strength to endure this journey! I am empowered to stand strong against my old habits and endure to create new ones. I am strong enough to be honest about my shortcomings and my successes. I also know that some days are going to be more difficult than others, but I will reflect and realise how far I have come.

Lastly, I will push past the limits I have created for myself, knowing that I was created for a bigger, better purpose.

If all else fails, I will put my head down and work relentlessly until my new behaviour becomes a good habit!

THIS I promise myself!
